King Lear series continues
In the King Lear series I had a clear objective, and it was the dissection of my subject to creates interest. I also wanted to catalog as much material as possible to work with.
It’s amazing how one simple photo can reveal so much. The essence of this subject is uncovered by revealing how J. Seward Johnson Jr. utilized texture in this work. I’ve removed all of the distractions going on in the background, that way it can be seen in a whole new way. This series could be contemporary or considered abstract. In this series you’ll have the chance to view King Lear statue that occupied Pioneer Court near the Tribune building in Chicago, IL. as I did. Stay tuned.
